How to add IPC to NVR with POE Functionality

When HIKVISION NVR supports the POE feature in both Manual and Plug-and-Play modes, POE cameras can be added to the system. Please make sure the camera password and the NVR password match when using the Plug-and-Play mode. Alternatively, you might set the camera password to 12345.

The camera must be added directly to the NVR’s POE port in order for Plug-and-Play mode to be used.

What you need:

  • 1- POE cameras
  • 2- POE NVR
  • 3- POE switch

How to manually add POE cameras to an NVR:

Steps:

  • Attach your camera to the switch’s POE port. Your NVR should be connected to the same switch.
  • 2- Select Camera Management > Camera > IP Camera.
